Dr. Diaz was born and raised in Puerto Rico and received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Biotechnology from the University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus and a Master of Science in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.  He completed his veterinary degree at Colorado State University in 2018.  After graduation, he practiced in Seattle for two years before returning to Northern Colorado in 2020. He is passionate about pathology, soft tissue surgery, dentistry and preventive care.  He and his partner share two mix breed dogs named Ciba and Truman, and a cat named Figaro.  In his free time he loves taking care of his small frogs, saltwater fish and plants of all kinds.
